Dodge, Parry, THRUST..

 A little more old school. I went through and took some pictures of my old miniatures. I think I painted this guy up somewhere in the early 2Ks. I love the Warlock Models, well some of them at least. But I've always been a fan of this guy. He's ready to deal out some justice ..  Takes me back to when Warlocks were on their own and not an upgrade. Unfortunately I use them very little now which is a shame... I don't use guardians and never have the points left over to add them to a Seer. So they just sit on the shelve waiting for the day they get re-worked into being useful again.

I also took some pictures of the 2nd Gen Hawk Exarch. I love the 1st Gen Hawks but always hated the Exarch. This guy is a little better but the beak mask still looks a bit silly to me. this guys is also from the early to mid 2Ks... you can always tell my older models from the green painted bases .. haha ..

Rev it up..

I got more work done to the Deimos, mostly the metallics. I added some rust to the exhaust pipes, prow, and accessories bits. It's getting close to being finished. I need to finish out the lighting details and the icons. Once I weather it with powders it should be very close to complete. I'm going to make a stencil for the top hatch doors, it will be more detailed so I'll probably have to free hand it a bit. Pretty happy with it so far ,..

I started working on blending the Ranger into his background last night. So far he's looking pretty good. I painted most of the basics on him, colors, shapes and some shading. I still need to detail and outline some of the background features on him. I'll also be adding some weathering powder but I want to make sure all the painting is done before I finish it out with powders. I'm still on the fence with his guns, should I blend them or should I leave them be. I'm thinking adding some slight bleed through. The main parts that I want to show are his chest armor and helm, like he's peeking out of the background.

I also picked what pits I'm going with for Jain Zar (at least these are the ones right now haha). I chopped the head off a Banshee and removed the hand off the right hand for the Tris.
