Here Is a rough design for the new display board I want to build. I mentioned it was bigger and it will be haha.. It will be two stories and have a set of stairs on either side that will be a tough one as I want the wall and steps to be curved. If I can pull it off I think it will look pretty awesome. It will have one large vane like before but the other two will be only slightly smaller then the main vane with teleportation like circles under each.
Like the first design I wanted to model it off existing Eldar designs so went with the Grav Platform and sections from the Fire Prism/ Warp Hunter. GW usually keeps the same design style running though a race/army and I want it to match up with that design style. It will keep the same Wraithbone look I used as well, I think it really looks good in larger scale. I'll also try to add some runes and designs into sections to make it look more detailed. I figure I'll break out the wood burner and see if I can make it look like what I have imagined. I also want to add in some spirit stone looking pieces and more lights. Not sure what I want to have under it this time though. Should I stay with trees or go with grass or even a water effect. The water effect might be cool but that would make it crazy heavy and be a huge pain for something so large. That part is still up in the air.
It will be a pretty large project but it should be fun. I really liked making the first one and since I'm now giving myself more time this one should be more detailed and cooler then the first. The extra time will also let me experiment with some things and if I don't like it I can try something else. The last time I had to go with whatever I had because there was no time to change my mind! 8)

The Wings of Angels
Got a little wing work started on a Dark Angel Biker and a Blood Angel Sternguard/Tac. It's not a ton but I ended up going out and seeing the second Hobbit movie which was pretty awesome! I highly recommend checking it out. So with limited time I didn't want to get into anything big, I just grabbed these guys and figured I'd start getting the wing sections started. They will require clean up and white highlights but then should be done (wings that is).
With just the light brown base..
And the added bone and black shadows
Then went over to the Blood Angel
Pretty much the same, I wasn't using very many colors just had a little time to get something done. Then was up and off to see The Cheapest of Calamities ,.. 8)
I do want to get some of my Dark Angel bikers finished up, I picked up a ton of them and they have just been sitting. It is a fun army, well I do enjoy them all really but with limited gaming time the Dar typically wins out as they are my Favs and I'm still trying out units and lists. I need to get a game in soon!

Let the New Year begin..
I hope everyone had a great New Years Eve, I was asleep well before the New Year hit haha.. Sleep was way more important on my list of things to do.
But I did get a little done last night. Nothing to major but sprayed the Cron Spider with Bronze and then blended in some shadows. I also started some of the green in the recesses. It will get some more details as I put it together and figure out how it was torn apart haha.. the Wraithknight is not a friend of the Necrons.
So right now he's ready to start being put together, I'll be drilling out some sections for frayed wires and then make some gashes in it. I also mentioned I'll be going with some water effects hopefully so I'll start testing the color and how/where it will go.
The new setup finally got some use .. hopefully I can keep it clean and clutter free!
